Trip Theme- Bike the Arts

On Saturday May 30th, people went on a bike trip around the city of Kettering on a trip called "Bike the Arts." People would bike to different locations to view different pieces of art. Our class didn't take part in the trip, but we helped the people who planned this trip create a map with a small blurb about each stop and one of the art pieces at each site. Below is the map of the Route.

Our class was split into seven mostly even groups and each group would pick one of the sites to take pictures and create a blurb of each site. My group decided to take pictures and create a blurb for Kettering Central park, also known as Lincoln Park. At the park, we took pictures of some different art pieces around the park. The one we liked the most and thus had the blurb talk about was an Untitled art piece by Keizo Ushio. Below is an image of the piece of art. "The sculpture was made from Indiana Limestone incorporates intertwining and locking lines of a ribbon, symbolizing love." says the plack near by.

The best thing to remember when biking is to be mindful of traffic. A lot of the biking we did was on the road.
